How to make sure a Word Document that was lost is retrieved easily?

There is nothing in this world that can be executed without hard-work or clear form of understanding. Everything that is delivered in a scientific or methodical way is not carried out without any dubious form of thought process being circulated inside user’s mind. Well, speaking on same line it becomes very painful if a task being executed on a Word file and then also getting lost.

Having said this, one can find of numerous alternatives or sources from where perfect solution can be retrieved. In reality, one is needed to make sure that correct and precise methodology is being undertaken. The user does not have to worry at all and should follow guidelines being listed below in a right and precise manner.

Step – 1  Looking for Original Document

In this case user just needs to follow steps being mentioned in a particular version of Windows that is being used by user.

Step – 2  Looking for Word Back-Up Files

The procedure of Clicking on Always create back up copy is selected in a right manner. There must be a presence of backup copy of the file too.
User in order to retrieve backup copy of file, the user has to follow points being mentioned below: -
1. The user needs to first of all find the location in which you have last saved the missing file.
2. In order to look for files that have. wbk file name extension, the user is needed to search for such files.

If the user is able to find the files that has been recognized with the name “Backup” and followed by the name of the missing file. Then just go through a particular form of methodology also matching to a version of Word run by the user.

Word 2010
1. The user needs to initiate Start Word 2010.
2. Then in File Menu user needs to Click on Menu.
3. In the third step, user will see a category Files of Type list and later on user needs to Click on All Files.
4. Now, just Click on the backup file that you have found and finally Click Open.

Word 2007
1. Then just initiate Word 2007 by Clicking on Start.
2. In the next step, user needs to Click on the Microsoft Office Button and finally Click on Open.
3. in the following step, Files of Type list. Then just Click Open.
4. in the last step, user needs to Click on the backup file that has been found. Then Click on Open.
